For health: Lately I’ve been loving getting back into my yoga practice! My favorite classes have: light heat (80-90 degrees), meditative start/end, intentional breath work, flowy movement & deep stretches. As someone who teaches group fitness classes full time, I’ve been loving slowing down & practicing much more restorative movement in my own time. Mat pilates & sculpt has been so trendy the last couple years so naturally demand has increased & that’s the majority of what I’ve been teaching.. my body is asking me to slow down & balance out so I’ve been listening! Feels SO good.
For wellness: Neighborhood bike rides. My beach cruiser was in storage for the last few months of 2025 while we were moving and I didn’t realize how much I missed it! My husband & I have been loving taking a Saturday morning ride through our neighborhood. Such a fresh way to get sunlight in our eyes & start our weekend with movement in a low-impact way. We find 5ish miles is the perfect distance for us, enough to feel the endorphin rush but quick enough to fit into a weeknight too!
For relationship: Friday afternoon beach. My favorite routine this last quarter has been spending Friday afternoons going to the beach with my husband! We’ve tried to make it habit to visit some of the public beach access points around our new house, and find that Friday afternoon/evening around sunset is the perfect time for us. It’s a great way to separate the work week & weekend, makes us feel grounded, and encourages great conversation. Even though we live super close to the beach, it’s surprisingly difficult to make it to the beach unless you intentionally add it to your schedule. We’re people that thrive in nature so this has been such a lovely routine we hope to continue!
For scent: Ouai “Santorini” Fragrance Mist I was sent a sample of this as part of a kit I got during Christmas time and have fallen in love with this scent. I’m not a huge perfume person since I’m sensitive to smells & fragrances but this scent is light & very beachy. Ouai categorizes it as a fresh citrus & fruits scent type with key notes of peach, orange, honeysuckle and amber. It’s refreshing and perfect for spring!
For recipe: these almond flour banana biteshave become a staple in our household! This recipe came about during our moving weekend when I was craving something sweet but lacked a lot of pantry staples. It’s easily customizable into cookie or bread loaf style! Note they are very soft because of the almond flour so I recommend refrigerating to keep them more compact!
ALMOND FLOUR BANANA BITES/BREAD
Ingredients:
2 ripe bananas, mashed
1.5 cups almond flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
Sprinkle of cinnamon & salt
Dash of vanilla extract (optional)
Optional mix ins like chocolate chips, coconut flakes, chopped nuts
Directions:
Mash bananas until smooth.
Stir in vanilla, cinnamon, salt.
Fold in almond flour & baking soda until combined.
Scoop spoonfuls onto parchment-lined baking sheet (or pour into greased 8x5in bread loaf pan)
Bake at 350° for 10-12 minutes (cookie style) or 22-28 minutes (bread loaf style)
They firm up as they cool, taste great cooled! They’re perfect for a midday energy boost or sweet treat! No added sugars & minimal ingredients!
CHARLOTTE’S FAVS
For lifestyle/routine: Grocery delivery! I hate to be dramatic and claim that this has been “life changing” - but truly. I used to LOVE grocery shopping, it’s very ritualistic for me. But with a fast growing baby, it quickly became a daunting task that was unenjoyable and anxiety inducing- the shopping, carrying and unloading is just a lot. Grocery delivery has saved me so much time and made meal planning much more efficient- plus I can be a little more money conscious as I see my total tally up. I still pop into our local market with the baby when needed but this has been much more management for our big weekly shop.
For fashion: An elevated flip flop. Approaching Florida summer (and another pregnant one), called for investing in some new sandals. I wear my havianna flip flops basically everyday, but there is something about a really chic sandal that completely upgrades my simple everyday outfits. Leather and square toe make a perfect combo- currently loving my Kinto pair from A.Emery.
For skincare: Mandelic acid serum. Introduced to me a few months ago by my esthetician, the Sofie Pavitt mandelic serum has now become a staple in my routine. Great for clearing congestion, smoothing texture and minimizing pores. I think everyone can really benefit from this and it’s gentle enough to use everyday- plus pregnancy/breastfeeding safe which is a win!
For health: Needed supplements. My health and wellness is a major priority still- I want to feel my absolute best and support my body in every way I can while pregnant & beyond. While I believe a lot of brands offer very similar products/results, I heard great research about Needed and chose to make the switch for this pregnancy. I currently take their prenatal, omega 3 and choline. All amazing for baby and I. It is quite a few pills (in addition to my daily probiotic) but I don’t mind it.
For the home: Updating hardware and fixtures. We’re in the middle of some mild home updates and redecorating as we’re hosting a housewarming party next month. One of the main projects I’m responsible for tackling is swapping out all the hardware and fixtures- we currently have the standard builder grade brushed nickel. I love an antique brass/classic gold but am also mixing in some polished chrome and polished nickel which is such a simple fix to make a big impact!
