WE BOUGHT A HOUSE! & Recent Life Updates
After taking the last several months of 2025 off from blogging, I’m so excited to be back with allll the life updates! 2025 was such a transitional year for me & my husband, and I finally feel ready to recap everything and set intentions for this new year.
In January 2025, my husband & I made the decision to move from outside of Seattle, WA to south Florida to be closer to my family. After a big honeymoon to New Zealand in March, we packed up all our belongings and roadtripped across the country at the end of April. We were able to move into my sister & BIL’s house in May as they had moved into a new apartment that could fit their growing family. We spent the summer settling in to our work situation here, making a home (that we knew was temporary) and bonding with new our puppy. We casually toured houses on the market all summer, just wanting to become informed on the process and stay open to new opportunity.
After welcoming our nephew in late August, we found out we’d be moving again come mid-October. We spent September apartment hunting we found some cute places but had a hard time committing anywhere since we’ve grown used to house living and all the comes with it - extra space & storage, a backyard for gardening and the pup, etc. In a whirlwind string of events — & a week before we were supposed to move out — we found a house in our top neighborhood & good budget. Our offer was accepted and within a couple days we were in escrow. As it was Q4 and the holidays were approaching, our closing date was set for after the holidays. We shifted plans quickly and moved in with my parents for 2 months until we were able to move in to our new home in early Jan 2026. We are so excited for this new chapter and grateful to have the opportunity to buy a home at this time!
LONG STORY SHORT - we have been busy!! Being a wife, daughter, auntie, home owner, pilates/yoga instructor, cross-country traveler took up all of my time for the last several months. I’m so excited to be carving out some more time in my schedule to get back to writing! Life is moving so fast at the moment (tbh always) and sharing long form content on this blog is has been so fulfilling - it’s almost like a public diary that i can look back on to reminisce & look back on with lots of gratitude for all the blessings life has to offer. Consider this my welcome back to Garden of Grace & stay tuned for lots of home improvement content coming soon!
