BABY BOY NURSERY REVEAL, DETAILS & organization

Welcome to baby boy’s room! We’ve been in full nesting mode over here and it feels so good to have the nursery complete. While I know he won’t fully be in the nursery until a few months, I was overwhelmed by the amount of packages and baby items. Best to just get organized now while I have the time! Ever since getting pregnant, I’ve been dreaming the space for our baby boy- a place that will hold some of our sweetest, earliest memories. I wanted the nursery to feel light and calm; neutral and not defined by a strict or set theme. When decorating a new space I always make a moodboard/layout on Canva to visualize.

Amazon rug, Crate and Barrel Rocker, Ikea dresser, Namesake Crib, Vintage-inspired custom quilt, Target striped pillow, Target blue curtains, animal art prints, changing pad, boucle diaper pail

design & layout

I absolutely love how the space turned out- natural & relaxing with a perfect blend of coastal meets vintage farm life. Proof that you don’t need to have a set nursery theme also! Clean color palette (blues, greens, neutrals), lots of natural texture and mix of vintage and new pieces. Curation has always been my design preference- it took a few months of pregnancy to pull everything together!

organization

Keeping a tidy space is essential for me in general- I thrive in an organized environment! Since I know things will get hectic with baby here, I wanted to set myself up for success. Tip: take advantage of all the hidden storage opportunities and utilize drawer organizers. Also, baskets will be your best friend! For the dresser, I got a bunch of organizers off of Amazon to keep things separated- there are lots of items and most of them are small. Each drawer is sectioned by category as well. Our ottoman holds toys, baskets for extra blankets and the trunk for books and sentimental keepsakes. Lastly, we utilized the space under the crib and hid it with a crib skirt. A win-win for decor and storage! We currently have our pack and play and snuggle me underneath- items we can access easily but would be hard to store elsewhere. We’ll see how long I can keep the space looking this way but this is surely the most organized room in the house! I will be sure to do a more in-depth product rundown once baby boy is here and I’ve figured out what’s been most useful/his favorites.

Just a few days away at this point and the nesting continues. Can’t wait to see baby boy grow in this space!
